My Picks for The Sexiest Men In Rock, Part 2
(page divider)

And now for a few more names (in alphabetical order this time) who, due to a lack of time, energy, current interest, or available pics/info, do not (yet) have their own pages:

Adam Ant, early 1980's; provenance unknown Adam Ant

Any man who can wear period clothing and makeup at the same time and make it look that good gets a thumbs-up emoticon from me!

Bryan Adams, late '80's; provenance unknown Bryan Adams

This Canadian plays a mean guitar and can really belt 'em out on stage--and he looks great in a t-shirt and jeans to boot!

Rick Astley, circa 1987; provenance unknown Rick Astley

A roof-raising voice, and not half bad in the looks department. So what if he's a little short? I'm a little short...

Bono, date and provenance unknown Bono
(U2)

U2 has never been much of an "image" band, but their lead singer is still pretty easy on the eyes...

Iva Davies, from the music video for "Crazy," 1987 Iva Davies
(Icehouse)

Another man with copious amounts of talent in addition to looks. Iva Davies is an amazing singer and a great songwriter; I only own one Icehouse album at the moment, but I listen to it constantly and I plan to invest in more very soon. And--as you'll know if you've ever seen the music video for "Crazy"--his speaking voice is just as lovely as his singing voice, with a swoon-inducing Aussie accent to boot...

Barry Gibb, late 1980's; provenance unknown Barry Gibb
(The Bee Gees)

Don't laugh--there's more to him than a white disco suit. I particularly liked his look in the music video for "You Win Again," from the Bee Gees' 1987 album ESP; he looks quite hunky in a ponytail.

Maurice Gibb, late 1980's; provenance unknown Maurice Gibb
(The Bee Gees)
1949 - 2003

Who cares if he was balding a bit? He looked great in a fedora, filled out a pair of jeans better than many a younger man, and had a grin that could light up a whole city block. He was also an underrated singer (the stunning three-part harmonies that most Bee Gees songs were based on would never have been possible without him) and a versatile musician, and he was a genuinely sweet man who loved his family and his fans and had a great sense of humor. Alas, he is now another in the ranks of rock and roll's fallen; he died in January of 2003 from complications of an intestinal blockage. We'll miss you, Mo...

David Glasper, date and provenance unknown David Glasper
(Breathe)

Whatever happened to this clean-cut and handsome young man? He seems to have disappeared off the face of the Earth after Breathe broke up.

Anders Herrlin, circa 1996; provenance unknown Anders Herrlin
(Gyllene Tider, Roxette)

Once voted "The Best-Looking Man in Sweden," back in 1982 when he was playing in Gyllene Tider, Anders also plays bass and describes himself as a computer nerd--which, given how I feel about geeks, is rather the best of both worlds... laughing emoticon

Michael Hutchence, date and provenance unknown Michael Hutchence
(INXS)
1960 - 1997

A very attractive man and a fine singer, but easily the most tragic figure listed here. Quite frankly, I haven't had the heart to research him yet... someday, I expect, but that is a project for the future...

Kee Marcello, from ROCK SCENE SPOTLIGHTS #7, 1989 Kee Marcello
(Europe)

A fine guitarist (he was John Norum's own choice for a replacement when the latter left Europe after their Final Countdown album) Kee Marcello couldn't seem to make up his mind whether he wanted to be blond or dark, but it hardly mattered--he looked hot either way!

Richard Marx, circa 1989; provenance unknown Richard Marx

A consistently excellent musician and songwriter, and not at all bad to look at.

Phil Oakey, date and provenance unknown Phil Oakey
(The Human League)

I'm less familiar with the Human League than some of the other bands mentioned here, but I've seen enough of their videos to know that they've made some pretty good music over the years. And their male singer, Phil Oakey, is quite the new-wave hunk--he's got some of the most gorgeous dark eyes I've ever seen, and he wears makeup better than most women!

Steve Perry, mid 1980's; provenance unknown Steve Perry
(Journey)

Journey is one of those bands that it just wouldn't have been the 80's without, and one has to give Steve Perry credit, not just for being a great singer and a mesmerizing performer, but also for being the one to invent the slightly improbable fashion statement of jeans paired with a tailcoat...

Rick Springfield, date and provenance unknown Rick Springfield

If there was an award for "The Best Biceps In Rock and Roll," Rick Springfield would definitely be one of the top contenders. A multi-talented man, Rick has a successful acting career in addition to being an excellent singer, musician, and songwriter--and he's got a stare that could nail a girl to the wall at fifty paces and a bod that just won't quit!

Sting, mid to late '80's; provenance unknown Sting

Now this fellow is a hunk... and there's all that talk about tantra...
